Cicero, Indiana puts on an enormous celebration over the Independence Day holiday every year called Lights Over Morse Lake. Utilizing several venues around Cicero, this annual event routinely draws visitors from Indianapolis and other nearby cities in Indiana, but Cicero residents think of it as their very own thing.
They have good reason to think this way; it takes almost a full year and countless volunteers to plan and produce a three-day party such as Lights Over Morse Lake. Some of the many events include a parade, a music festival, a carnival, a talent show, a boat flotilla, a Civil War reenactment and, of course, the fireworks show.
